Activities

 

Centennial Park, finished for Boyden's Centennial in 1989, is spread over several acres with a playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball field, horse shoe pits, walking trail and shelter houses. A campground is located on the east side of the park, south of the tennis courts. It is complete with electric hookups and bath houses. Camping is free all year long at Centennial Park!

The Main Shelter House can be rented for all types of events at no cost. Reservations are not mandatory, but groups with reservations take priority. Contact the City Administrator for reservations.

The Boyden Summer Rec Program is a thriving program which allows the children of Boyden to play baseball, softball, golf, volleyball, basketball and other various activities during the summer months.

The Boyden Jr. Tournament Committee hosts an annual softball and baseball tournament for the area ball teams.

The Demco Community Center, located on Main Street in Boyden, is where Boyden's citizens come together for most community functions. It is also the ideal location for family reunions, birthday and anniversary parties and wedding receptions. The center includes a complete kitchen facility which is fully stocked with dishes, and the necessary cookware. Reservations for the use of the center can be made with the City Administrator.

Otter Valley Golf Course located just 5 miles North of Boyden.  It is a great place to mix a little business with pleasure while playing a few holes and enjoying a great meal too! Otter Valley Golf course was the 2001 9-hole course of the year.
